GRUNDIG  5040 W tube radio .

made by GRUNDIG in West germany in 1953-1954

This one was the top of the line in 1953 and the biggest Grundig tube radio at that time.

It has the biggest Grundig speaker build in ever build .

The tube amplifier has the big EL12 tube build in for powerful sounding .

It  comes from closed collection and we did a quick audio test and is wokring.

Found some FM stations with small antenna , other bands were not tested and possibly need external antenna or restoration .

The woden cabinet looks great, also the unit is clean .

multi voltage can be set easily: 110; 125; 220; 240 Volt

there are 8 tubes inside  ( EC92 , ECC81 , EL12 , EM35 , EAF42, ECH81 , EABC80 )  - the magic eye is working too .
