This is a very amazing antique hand carved Kuba tribe Mbwoongntey wooden palm wine ritual ceremonial cup which was collected from the Congo. These Mbwoongntey cups were used by kings and other members who had obtained a high status in the tribal society of the Kuba People's tribe in the African Congo for the ritual drinking of palm wine. This wooden Kuba Mbwoongntey palm wine cup measures 7.41 inches long by 4.60 inches wide and is in great condition with two very slight chips in the wood around the drinking rim. I have had this specimen in my personal collection for over 16 years.
