Fully charged and comes with original box, charging AC adapter, USB cable for charging.  This was used by us for the past 6 years and we switched systems.  It was set up with our Samsung TV, CD player, and Receiver and works great.  I do notice the AC adapter cable needs to be wiggled a bit at times to charge,  but it fully charges and holds charge.  To be transparent I did not set up remote with our system originally so have no idea how to do that.
