I was awed by the clean lines of these, I believe, beautiful "slip shade" solid brass sconces.  Notice that the two socket canopies do not have the usual three or four thumbscrews to secure the shades.  The shades are therefore nested or cradled in the top of the socket canopy and given a little protection from the LED bulbs.  If you are aware of this, it should be safely manageable.  Furthermore. the sconces are 'blind mounted" so there are no other exposed screws or other mounting hardware.  

 

Cast oval wall canopies are 6-1/2" tall, 4" wide.  Overall height of the fixtures is approximately 12" and they protrude from the wall 6."   Two notched cross braces on each wall canopy for "hook" mounting.  No dents, dings or splits in the metalwork.  Matching, signed, handblown Quezal gold "fishnet" shades are 5" tall and are in excellent condition with no chips ("flea bites”), scratches, internal cracks or repairs.  Lit pictures are with 4 watt LED bulbs on a dimmer (not supplied).  Old is new  again!
