This is a rare Sabal from Tamaulipas Mexico. It is a bush type palm for many years that can grow an above ground trunk that will snake on the ground. Its leaves are much bigger than Sabal minor and it grows at a faster rate. It is fairly cold hardy. Here in zone 7 our younger plant has seen single digits without damage. At -4f it mostly defoliated but came back strong that spring. If planting in zone 6 plan to protect during winter. These are 1-1/2 year old seedlings twice the size of Sabal minor seedlings the same age.
