When I first bought this, I though it was
a cocktail shaker. After doing a little "homework," I found that it is an ice cream / frozen treat maker & dispenser. It is shaped like a bullet, bomb or rocket. A
decal on one side pictures a drink, and reads, "SMOOTHIE." The underside
is embossed, "MFD. BY RELMAC CORP. - GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - SMOOTHIE
MODEL A - 45 - PATENT PENDING." There are FOUR parts to this. 1.)
An EXTERIOR, screw-on removable "Nose Cone." 2.) A second INTERIOR
screw-on top, that fits under the Nose Cone. 3.) The cylinder or body of the shaker. 4.) An apparatus
that screws onto the underside, that appears to hold a Co2 (or similar) cartridge. The parts are made of heavy metal. (It does not hold a
magnet.) I THINK it is stainless steel, or cast aluminum. The condition
is GOOD. It has some general "wear & tear." The entire think could use a proper cleaning. There are some
chips or the decal. It does not have a date, but I "THINK" this is from
the 1940's or 1950's - give or take. It is guaranteed to be old &
original, or your money back.
