VG - EX.  February 25, 1968 - Buffalo Memorial Auditorium.  Ticket from college basketball game between St. Bonaventure and Niagara.  Bob Lanier, in his first year with the Bonnies, against Calvin Murphy (1st yr Varsity) and Manny Leaks (the grizzled vet) for Niagara.  It is rare historically for relatively small college programs to ever have Hall of Fame caliber basketball players on their roster (obviously, it still happens - e.g. Steph Curry / Davidson).  What’s crazy about this game is that each school’s all time greatest player (both in the NBA Hall of Fame) were in their first year with their respective teams and squared off against each other.  Niagara had no one who could match up against Bob Lanier’s size and he led #4 ranked St. Bonaventure to a 97 - 84 victory.  The two Hall of Famers matched up four more times during their next two college years before becoming the #1 overall NBA draft pick (Lanier), and the #18 overall pick (Murphy) in the 1970 draft.
Package includes a photo signed by Calvin Murphy and affixed to a 5 X 8 card.
