This listing is for a vintage Reed & Barton 28 piece silver plate flatware set in the English Gentry pattern with a wood and felt lined case all in their original plastic sleeves. The case when fully closed measures 6 1/4 by 15 by 11 1/2 inches. The flatware has a beaded border around the outside edge with slightly raised heart design and a smooth handle. They are marked on verso "REED & BARTON".
The set includes 4 dinner knives which measure 9 1/2 inches long, 4 salad forks which measure 6 3/4 inches long, 4 dinner forks which measure 7 7/8 inches long, 4 soup spoons which measure 6 3/4 inches long and 12 teaspoons which measure 6 inches long.
The fitted case has two brass handles on each side of the case, there is a single drawn with two pulls on the bottom of the case. A single handle at the front that when lifted reveals the interior of the case. There is a plaque on the cover which in engraved "ROBERT E. BARTON MARCH 18, 1988".
The set is in very nice condition, all the pieces are in their original protective plastic sleeves and have not been opened.
