13" Antique Bisque Head Doll by Armand Marseille (C A. 4/0. M.) after Dolls' Stories Hospital

An unusual cabinet-size doll (marked Made in Germany, C, A. 4/0. M.). It came to my doll hospital across a lot of problems.

At my hospital, the doll was completely cleaned, the elastic cords were replaced, the neck socket was strengthened and restored, the missing part of the right arm was grown, the lower legs were strengthened, and a cork patch was made for the top of the head. The original mohair wig was restored from antique fibers.

The underwear is created according to the doll's figure using virgin cambric and modern cotton lace based on samples from ancient children's and doll underwear.

The dress is made of vintage silk chiffon with lining, sewn according to the pattern of an antique doll dress.

The doll's shoes are sewn in my workshop from vintage genuine leather using old patterns and old technology.

The faded cotton stockings are the same as the old models. Made in my workshop from distressed cotton jersey.

The doll's porcelain head is without cracks, the eyes are in their original position and have a wax coating, and the body with traces of time corresponds to the doll's age and is coated with natural shellac varnish.

When working on the restoration of the doll, technologies, and natural materials were used that were fully consistent with the period of creation of the doll itself (early 20th century). All restorations on the doll are reversible.

The doll is in excellent post-restoration condition.

A wonderful addition to your collection for you and your heirs.
