    Function
    Removes and installs lock ring on the fuel tank easily and quickly when servicing the fuel pump or fuel sending unit.

    Main Steps
    Gently pry up the fuel pump service cover with a screw driver or pry bar.
    Release the wiring harness connector under the service cover.
    Push the rubber grommet out of the service cover and remove the wire.
    Position the tool mentioned earlier in this thread in the notches(circled in the image above).
    Note: This piece is a ring that hold the pump(white part in the middle) down. The black ring is separate from the pump. The pump is spring loaded so expect it to pop up a little.
    Attach your breaker bar and turn counter-clockwise.
    Once the ring is loosened, vacuum the area again even if you did it before.

    Main Steps
