What is a SEER2 rating?
SEER2, or Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio 2, is the total heat removed from the conditioned space during the annual cooling season. The new M1 testing procedure will increase systems external static pressure by a factor of five to better reflect field conditions of installed equipment.

The percent shows how much you may save with that unit compared to an older 10 SEER unit. The percent compares the Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratings (SEER) of the old and new units. Higher SEER ratings mean your unit is more energy efficient. We compare against a 10 SEER unit because that was the minimum allowed rating up to 2006. There's a good chance that units being currently replaced due to old age are 10 SEER.
