In 2010 I volunteered for this project and helped walk people down the dimly lit halls to pick up an urn and release it to the world. Years later I find that this project can continue by releasing it again.(I'm not sure if this was the artist intention or not) Keeping it felt to much like making it a prisoner once again and I its warden, and by purchasing it, I guess you could say you are paying its bail and continuing its ever shifting movement towards freedom.

I know some of the process the artist used to create these, and it was quite a unique process to get this strange glaze like layer on the urns. They are gilded with 24 k gold leaf as well. the holes correspond to the cell blocks and their numbers. Which with your own research you could probably find information about who was once incarcerated within the cell.
