Vintage Japanese Miniature Collectable 
CAST IRON TETSUBIN TEAPOTS
These three adorable miniature Tetsubin Teapots have been hand-made with Cast Iron. They are made traditionally by pouring molten iron into a sand or clay mould. These teapots are used to boil water in Tea ceremony rituals. 
These 3 collectable teapots may have been made as a shop sample or for a doll's house. All three measure approximately 4.5cm tall (not including handle) x 6cm in diameter. No cracks. Please click on photos for further description.

The Japanese tea ceremony, also called the Way of Tea, is a Japanese cultural activity involving the ceremonial preparation and presentation of matcha, powdered green tea. In Japanese, it is called chanoyu or sadō, chadō . The manner in which it is performed, or the art of its performance, is called otemae. Zen buddhism was a primary influence in the development of the tea ceremony.
