"Attack on the Iron Horse" by Michael Boyette (1943-2015) Every detail of the work in the sculpture of Michael Boyette is infused with precise authenticity and accuracy.  His interest has been in heroic historical America particularly of the 19th century American west.  His father was a career officer in the US Air Force, and he served and was wounded in Vietnam during the worst years of that war.  He turned to sculpture in the late 1970's after the war and college drawing upon his desire to create works that would bring the viewer back in time, witnessing events in history that have helped shape America's unique heritage.  His works are owned by many thousands including museums, institutions, and collectors at home and abroad.  The action captured andthe detail recorded in the work offered here are quite remarkable.
