This book introduces almost all cassette tapes released in Japan between 1971 and 1993, the heyday of cassette tapes, including the year of release, lineup, and package design for major products. With an overwhelming amount of information and resources, and including as many interviews as possible with former cassette tape manufacturers and alumni of the Magnetic Tape Industry Association, we aimed to create a definitive book on the world's top cassette tapes made in Japan.
