Beautiful cloisonne pin, 3/4" square from Disneyland's 30th anniversary. Features a marching Mickey Mouse beating a drum with pink Sleeping Beauty Castle on it, on top of a bar that says Disneyland®. This pin was a gift that you got when you entered Disneyland the year of the 30th Anniversary, 1985, it was not sold. This pin was indeed part of the "Gift Giver" promotion at Disneyland. A promotion that randomly gave prizes to people as they walked through the turnstyles of the park at the front gate. Prizes ranged from everything from a box of popcorn to a new car. Originally the pins were indeed never meant to be sold, but the park was having trouble with complaints of pin collectors approaching people, especially children, asking to buy their pins from them. This particular pin was the hardest of the set to acquire and caused the biggest problem with other Disnelyland guests by collectors. This pin, and I believe the rest of the set, eventually went on sale while still being part of the Gift Giver promotion. The cost, if memory serves,was $3.98. I know this to be true that the pin was avaiable for sale because this was the only way I could get this particular pin to complete my set
