Pass & Seymour ALABAX 1930s Art Deco White Porcelain Sconce & Opal Glass Shade, Rewired

This art deco, white porcelain sconce was manufactured by Pass & Seymour in Syracuse, NY during the 1930's.  P&S marketed it under the name ALABAX which was their trademark for their porcelain line of fixtures.  It comes with an opal glass shade.  It is in good condition, has been restored, and is ready to install.

We have carefully cleaned the sconce and removed the old wall paint from the sides.  We rewired it and addedf a new nickel plated pull chain.  The chain is 3-1/2" long but would be glad to lengthen it to the buyer's specifications.   The pull switch works smoothly and correctly.  The porcelain is in good condition and it even includes the original pull knob, a bonus since these are often missing.  There is minor discoloration on the pull knob.  Everything has been tested and is guaranteed to work correctly.

The fixture has a polarized outlet at the base which was also rewired. Since the outlet is not the modern 3-wire grounded systems, the buyer and his/her electrician need to decide whether hook it up.

Dimensions:  4-3/4" in diameter where it meets the wall and projects 9" from the wall with shade in place.  Uses standard base bulbs (not included).

The mounting hardware was missing when we got the fixture, so we made some up and it is included in the sale. See last photo.

Shipping is buyer's choice of USPS Ground Advantage, UPS or FedEx Ground, or USPS Priority Mail.

The sconce is guaranteed to be as described and we will accept its return if buyer is dissatisfied.  Just notify us within 30 days of receiving them.

We have other sconces and lots of other porcelain fixtures for sale, so please check out our lighting store!
