This two-bulb, flush-mount, porcelain ceiling light fixture was manufactured by Porcelier sometime between the late 1920's and the early 1950's (the lifetime of the company), and it is appropriate for both art deco and mid-century modern design. It features a red and green floral design of roses and thistles on a cream colored (off white) background, has blue trim around the margin, and 24k gold accents. The porcelain is in very good condition.
We have carefully cleaned the fixture including removing all of the overpaint and dirt from the sides and back. The 24k gold accents are in good but not perfect condition. The gold accents are applied over the glaze and it often has a few losses due to abrasion. Please look at the photos.
The fixture has been rewired, tested, and is guaranteed to perform correctly. We disassembled the pull switch and cleaned, polished, and lubed the contacts. We added a new antique brass chain and left it a little long (18") but it is easy to trim if the buyer wants it shorter. The sale includes the correct mounting hardware (original matching porcelain mounting nut, threaded nipple, & crossbar).
At the time of listing, we have two of these fixtures, but this listing is for one. The fixtures are identical.
Dimensions: 10" long, 5-1/4" wide, and 3" tall (not including mounting nut).
