Description:  It is an original engraved antique map over 150 years old, printed in 1864. It is in great shape with vibrant hand color outlining. It is from Baron Jomini's Life of Napoleon Atlas, translated from the French by Halleck, published in New York by Van Nostrand, 1864, a facsimile copy of the title page is included for authenticity. Baron Jomini was the General in Chief and Aid de Camp to the Emperor of Russia. His maps have become very popular among those interested in the Napoleonic wars. These are particularly in very nice shape and are good for framing or study. The copyrights have long since expired, so it would be a great source for research publications.

Size: The map image measures approximately 6 by 8 inches (15x20cm) on a 7 1/4 by 9" (18x23cm) page with a half inch or more margin all around for framing.

Condition: The map is in Very Good condition for its age printed on a bright, heavy page, blank on the reverse with superb hand coloring. Other than a couple of very minor spots in the margin and typical darkening along the edges, it is very clean and would frame up well, see the pic for more on condition. The pics are of the actual map.
