5 - Rampe Leaves Live Plants From Rooted Amaryllifolius  Pandanus Fragrant Plant


A special plant called Pandanus amaryllifolius. Pandanus is a tropical plant known commonly as Pandan. The leaves are used in Southeast Asian cooking. The leaves have a nutty fragrance which enhances the flavor of foods, especially rice dishes and cakes. It is an erect green plant with fan-shaped, long, narrow leaves. It flowers rarely. It prefers to be in filtered light to partial sun and likes average moisture. It can reach a height of 6 to 8 feet tall. It is a tropical plant so avoid freezing temperatures. This plant is a bit rare, not too many people sell it in the US and it seems like everyone is trying to get their hands on one!

Soil medium:
         Rich, relatively moist, slightly acidic soil 

Pots / Containers:
         Pandan plants can grow big and develop long and thick aerial roots that support the plant as it grow. The plant can become leggy and heavy on top. Therefore, it is best to use big pots (minimum 20L) to grow your pandan plants. The larger the pot, the bigger the pandan plant can grow because there is more space and nutrients for the roots.

Sun:
        Pandan loves sunlight. However, if the sun is scorching hot and the plant is in a small pot, it is best to give it partial shade.

Watering: 
        Pandan loves moisture and it can tolerate wet soil. They also don't seem to mind the rainy season when the soil is constantly.
