This is a rare find for collectors of vintage religious memorabilia and a must-have for any serious collector of Christian artifacts.

Original vintage item from the 19th century.

This Sick Call Outfit, also called a "Last Rites" box/set was made in 1897 by the Homan Silver Plate Company in Cincinnati, Ohio, used for the Official and Rubrical Sacramental Service. This Sick Call set was used by many priest's, doctors, and families.

Set includes: Combination free-standing crucifix candelabra with holy water dish, that is easily assembled from 3 separate pieces (the base, Holy-Water font / candelabrum, and the silver Crucifix) these are modeled and finished. The Holy-Water Font is gold-lined. two (2) Silver Plates- one for the Cotton, other for the salt or bread crumbs for absorbing oil on Priest's fingers. Plates are ornamented with "I. H. S.," deeply engraved, wreaths of oak and laurel leave around borders (5 1/8 in diameter)

Condition: The original wooden box is fragile and not in good condition. A piece is broken on the bottom and the material inside the box is frayed. The pieces are good overall with some wear expected with over 125 years of age. Noticeable tarnishing inside holy water spoon cup and along the outside edges of plates. Please review photos carefully, you are seeing what I see.

Set is in good condition for its age, the Candelabrum is in beautiful shape and the set is an excellent antique for proper display. It will be packaged firmly with care before it is sent to you.
