FROM MADEIRA WITH LOVE....!

 

Found in an estate liquidation on the island of Madeira in Portugal, that of a family with ties to South Africa.

A curious survivor, advertising Frey`s Fresh Meat  from Port Shepstone, South Africa.

Intended for use on a buffet or dinner table, a large ceramic pig that has an attached frog on the inside to hold 6 kabob or sausage skewers. 

Made of ceramic, it stands approximately 6 inches high and is 9 inches end to end.

This was a preferred customer gift or sales premium advertising  this famous Butcher / Meat Purveyors, the rump reading "From Our Family For Yours". 

It has survived in good used condition with no cracks or wear to the graphics.  I did illustrate a dime sized chip on one rear foot tip.   

I inserted a standard size playing card in one photo as a reference for size.
