Artists and Engravers: Author: Jean Baptiste Marc Bourgery (1797-1849). The artist who directed the massive program of prosection, and who was responsible for 512 of the spectacular illustrations, was Nicholas-Henri Jacob (1782-1871) a student of the neo-classical painter of the French Revolution, Jacques-Louis David.

Surface interieure du Crane. Adulte'. (Skull. Inside of the Cranium.) This plate shows the Cranium and the inside of the Cranium of an adult. Plate 19: 'Tetes. Coupes suivant le plan median. Adulte'. (Skull. Cross-section.) This plate shows a cross-section of a skull of an adult. Also a cross-section of the left nasal cavity.
Condition: Good, given age. Some damp staining in margins, not affecting image. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
