Hand flyer for Arthur Askey at the Pavilion, Torquay for week commencing 3rd September 1956. Daisy May & Saveen were a ventriloquist act. Albert Saveen had many vent dolls (17) including a dog and a spiv but Daisy May was his most popular and the pair were the first vent act to have their own starring radio series, Midday with Daisy May in April 1950, two months before Educating Archie began with Peter Brough and Archie Andrews. Archie became the bigger star in the long run though.
