This Akai S3000XL sampler comes with 32MB RAM and a 2GB Compact Flash Drive (with a fair few samples on), as well as its original manual. It features 8 output channels, analogue and digital capabilities, and a range of input/output ports including MIDI I/O, analogue out, and 6.35mm TRS/TS in and out. The unit is rack mountable and has a sleek white colour. The S3000XL also includes an equaliser and is manufactured in Japan. Its model and brand are Akai, and it is perfect for use in a professional audio setting.

So about the Compact Flash Drive....its an internal drive thats mounted where the floppy disk drive used to be. As you can see in the pictures, the CF card can be removed and swapped for other CF cards as well. Its basically a hard drive for it. I have partitioned the drive multiple ways (Hard disk A-P), because in case you did not know only one `Multi` file can be saved per disk you see, so this way lets you be more organised. You could have your breaks on Partition A for example, Vox on B, Bass on C....you get the idea. Its very quick reading and writing to the disk.

Whats not to like is the main volume has been changed to a non uniform Akai one. I never managed to come up with a permanent solution to the Compact Flash Card replacing the disk drive slot cover. The screen is ok for brightness but not the best. Also upon boot up the sampler says `waiting for hard disk` (see pics), this in no way stops the CF working, apparently this is common.

Comes with OG manual & kettle lead and couple of small audio cables.
