A rare beauty.

Beautifully knitted hand-framed vintage cardigan made in Unst on the Isle of Shetland dating from the 1950’s in very good vintage condition considering its age.

Suitable for a modern size 12, too snug on me unfortunately, I’m a size 14.

Chest measures from pit to pit 20” without stretching

Length 21”.

Cardigan features classic Shetland knitted motifs in earthy greens and browns. Cardigan has a high collar.

Overall condition very good, one tiny repair on the back of the collar as shown in the last two pictures.

Cardigan freshly laundered by hand and ready to wear.

The quantity of the wool and make means no bobbling even though the cardigan is at least 60 to 70 years old.
