[About the Grumman F-14A Tomcat Black Knights]
Since its first flight in 1970, the F-14A Tomcat has continued to fly as the world's most powerful interceptor fighter, and since the 1990s it has also demonstrated its capabilities in ground attack missions.
Especially since 1996, it has been equipped with the target irradiation pod AN/AAQ-14 LANTIRN, and in combination with the laser-guided bombs GBU-16 and GBU-24, it has become possible to carry out precision bombing from long distances in all weather conditions.
One of the units equipped with this F-14A is the VF-154 Black Knights aboard the aircraft carrier Kitty Hawk based in Atsugi.

The most distinctive feature of the Tomcat is its variable swept wings with an angle of 20° to 68°.
All movements of this variable wing are automatically controlled by a computer, and the angle is the most efficient according to the flight conditions, from the maximum forward position of 20° for takeoff and landing, to the maximum backward position of 68° for supersonic flight. It maintains the best maneuverability performance at all times.
The kit also incorporates a gear inside the fuselage, allowing both wings to work together.
