Collectable PAIR Japanese Vintage Wooden Kokeshi Dolls 

This Pair of Vintage Traditional Kokeshi are in excellent condition. It is hard to come by a matching pair, especially featuring the original labels in tact. Both have bright vivid colours and Maker's signature on the base. Both measure 21cm tall. No cracks and very minimal marks or scratches.

Kokeshi are Japanese dolls, originally from northern Japan. They are handmade from wood, have a simple trunk and an enlarged head with a few thin, painted lines to define the face. One characteristic of kokeshi dolls is their lack of arms or legs.
