Eyecatching miniature celluloid " The Little Child's Prayer Book" captures your attention the second one lays their eyes on it because of it's exceptional workmanship and condition.

Beautiful devotional celluloid image of Jesus with his halo in a pink robe holding a chalice standing in front of a textured wooden door that he is about to knock on. The thatched roof of the house is shown while Jesus stands in a garden of lilies that are symbol of remembrance.

A beautiful open work gold tone metal latch sits on the top and bottom of this miniature book with a crown latch shape in the middle.  The edges of this book are gilt with the border inside this book having gilt detailing.

This miniature child's devotional book measures 2-5/8" wide x 3-7/8" high x 3/8" deep. This book was published by Catholic Public Press, NY but printed in Czechoslovakia. Printed May 1929.

This book has a condition issue with the back cover inscribed Marim Collins 25 Bussy Street, May 27, 1929. The edges of the spine are a mix of both celluloid and fabric. The fabric does show some age.

The cover opens to find a cut out detail with a crucifix and a prayer in gilt and black ink.  A colored illustration is also enclosed along with black & white illustrations.
