This specimen was discovered near Savannah, Georgia, on the muddy bottom of a river during a scuba diving expedition. It's important to highlight that this is a notably large example for its species just missing the 2 & 3/4 inch mark at 2.73 inches to be exact.
About this species:
This shark tooth is correctly classified under the great white shark family, rather than the mako shark lineage. Many eBay sellers continue to mislabel this tooth as Isurus hastalis, which is associated with the mako lineage, but this is based on outdated information. It will likely take some time for average collectors to adopt the modern classification. Currently, the most accurate and updated classification places this shark species within the great white lineage, specifically naming it the Giant White.

We sell fossils...not boxes...so we have zero interest in making a money off shipping and handling. We even offer FREE SHIPPING when you purchase three items or more all year long - USA ONLY.
Unlike rare coins, gems, and even baseball cards, there is no such thing as an independent 3rd party that grades and certifies fossils...hence there is no such thing as legit COA's with fossils. Anybody offering you a COA with any fossil is simply printing one off of their home computer simply because they think you don't know any better and this will gain your trust. My name, or any other seller, divers, diggers, or collectors name on a piece of a paper is 100% meaningless and has zero value. The value is in the fossil itself. Nobody cares who found it...who owned it...or who sold it. And for this reason we choose not to insult you by sending out worthless pieces of paper to gain your trust. We choose to use our reputation instead.
100% Real. We do NOT sell fakes, replicas, or plastic molds of any kind. ONLY the real deal. We are in the fossil business...not the children's toy business.
Although we can not give out our website name here, we can supply our business name: Investment Fossils. We do not sell anything on our website anymore but there is some good blogs for you to read if you are new to collecting that might just help you get started. They are free to read and there is no sign up page that you need to fill out to get this information. Although FREE seldom ever means free anymore...it does in this case. I hope it helps.
