This antique pitcher from Meriden Britannia dates from 1861. It is in fair condition, and, while I have left it unpolished, it would probably benefit from a good cleaning. It is inscribed "Meriden Britannia Company 1861" inside the base.
The pitcher leans backwards a little on its base and I do not know if this is how it was made, or if it was bent back. I believe that it could be professionally straightened, if necessary.

- 3in diameter base.
A nice, old piece from the very early days of Meriden that was founded in 1852.
