This is a vintage Chinese solid brass shallow bowl incised with a Chinese good fortune symbol in a round sun medallion surrounded by a floral scroll on the interior with a polished underside.

The brass rings out when struck, sounding similar to a gong. The wood base is made of two carved pieces that fit together forming an "x" cradling the bowl. 

This bowl can be used as a fruit bowl, accent bowl or catch all bowl for the entry table. Perfect for the Asian theme decor.

Measures approximately 10” across x 1-3/4” deep.

In very good vintage condition. Might need polishing.
