For sale is this interesting 18th century Italian architectural drawing, a recent find on a market just outside Gonzaga (Lombardy, Italy).

The drawing, executed in pen, ink, gray wash and watercolors on laid watermarked paper, depicts an architectural study for a tower.
Below : specifications and sizes.  Top right : information about the location, situating the project in the Lombardian region in the town of Dervio.  This text also specifies that the tower should serve as a public latrine/bathroom.

Authorship : the drawing is from the Italian-Lombardian School, signed right below "Ing. Franco Amadoli".

Period : ca. 1720-1730.

Size : 34,4x39,2cm !

Condition : Fairly good.  Some scattered dirt throughout.  Some small spots.  Corners : traces of folding.  Right and left side : traces of wrinkling.  Unframed.
