SEE VIDEO to appreciate these wonderful hand forged candle holders / plates. You will receive two. This Jan Barboglio Paloma d' Luz pieces (two) is a unique and highly collectible item. It features candle holders or under plates, making it perfect for use as a dining decor, on your mantel or by each bedside. The dark brown color and rustic style evoke the feel of old Mexico and Latin American countries, and the metal material gives it a weighty, high-quality feel. This piece is part of the Barboglio's Iron Collection and is handmade and individually casted. It is a post-2000 vintage item. The Paloma d' Luz comes with a blessing tag, making it a thoughtful gift for occasions such as Father's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas, and Easter. Its use is versatile, however primarily used for candles, see pictures. These are Retired and no longer being made -- which makes them even more sought after from collectors of her iron work.  The tag / card says " Paloma d' Luz A flock, pair, a single dove... a gift of harmony, peace, and love..." which is a Mexican Proverb.  I really love these candle holders -- they rarely come in a pair.  Stand not included.

I have listed today a separate pair that you can also purchase.  I purchased all four at the same time a long time ago, so if you are interested in having more than the two in this listing, please feel free to visit my Ebay store and see if they are still available. YouBeYou LLC (You will receive a total of 2 with this purchase.)

JAN BARBOGLIO

After many years designing clothing with her sister in their Barboglio Cristina & Jan Collection, Jan Barboglio began sculpting accessories and furniture for her own home. Her childhood, spent in north central Mexico, would prove to be fertile ground for inspiration, and every object created by her would carry with it the rich history and romance of old Mexico.

Barboglio’s initial designs of wax grabbers were for her silver, bronze and iron candelabra. Altar pieces and house blessing crosses were integrated into her own home furnishings. Her love of entertainment would later result in her own iron chargers,  platters and chafing dishes. Leather goods and saddle stools began to fill her home. All of these influences are evident in her Jan Barboglio Collection of today.

Jan Barboglio’s original designs led the way for her current and extensive home accessories line. The Jan Barboglio Collection has since flourished into crosses and crowns, fleur de lis and scrolls, wildflowers and roses, guardian angels and symbolic bleeding hearts. From her signature Box of Miracles which houses 12 metal “milagros”, prayer and family crosses, Barboglio is now well-known for bringing the spiritual aspect of old Mexico to home decor.
