From a collection in Bologna, is this very interesting18th century double sided master drawing. The drawing is part of a small collection of 14 simular drawings by the same artist, never been presented for sale for about 35 years.
The drawing, executed in pen, ink and gray wash on prepared laid paper, depicts studies of flowers on both sides.
Authorship : the drawing is from the Italian-Bolognese School.
Period : ca. 1720-1730.
Size : 16,9x20,7cm.
Condition : Fairly good. Some scattered dirt throughout. Some small spots. Sides slightly damaged, irregular of shape, small fragments of paper missing. Bottom corner right, corners left : small fragments of paper missing. Right side : a default in the paper structure. Right side top : slight traces of folding. Unframed.
