Ideal restoration project Porsche 944 S2 registered September 1989 (Glacier Blue metallic). It has been in my family for 21 years. I have inherited the car from my father and unfortunately I don't have the time to restore it.
It has an MOT until October 2024 but requires a mechanical and cosmetic restoration. The car is very original with its rear spoiler, flag door mirrors and original Blaupunkt radio. It has a nice specification with the 10 speaker sound system, light interior and sought after genuine Porsche Cup 1 wheels.
The paperwork shows the brake and fuel lines have been replaced, both inner and outer sills replaced and the cam and balance belts don't need replacing until Oct 2025. The car does however require much work to get it back in shape.

Suspension seems good
The car was always run with the best oil and the engine has good oil pressure
The car was always garaged by my father and is currently in my garage
Owners manual with service book showing maintenance from 1989 until when my father bought it in 2003
Comes with a whole folder of receipts and invoices from 2003 until present day. My father was an engineer and worked on the car himself.
The engine runs well with no odd noises
The gearbox seems good with a smooth gear shift
The bad bits:
It has an engine oil leak
It needs a new exhaust (the baffles are making an annoying noise)
The power steering belt squeaks when cold
Water is getting into the front footwells if it's left out in the rain
The car needs a full respray
There is a crack in the dashboard
It will need both front Continental tyres replacing
The front discs and pads are showing wear and will need replacing soon
The rev counter sometimes flickers
Sold as a running / driving project
The V5 states 5 previous owners and the history folder contains MOTs back until 2003
