It is good practice to format again in the appliance that you are using it in as some appliances use different format

it will not be compatible with all cameras.

This adapter reads and writes compact flash cards using the pcmcia slot in your pc and or possibly your Mercedes car.

*note you cannot use it with a Sd card only with a the CF1 card supplied, message me if unsure and I will be happy to help
