The amount of calories in this food is kept at a moderate level and the starch content is reduced, which supports both weight loss and helps maintain a healthy weight. The addition of L-carnitine also helps reduce fat deposits. The high protein content helps maintain the muscle mass of your cat and supports the delayed glucose supply.
Indications:
- Diabetes mellitus
- Body Condition Score (BCS) ≤ 6/9
- Note: Insulin sensitivity may improve while your cat is on this diet. Blood sugar levels should be closely monitored and the insulin dose adjusted as necessary.
- Pregnancy or lactation, kittens
