The drive unit uses a direct drive system with a DC motor having a starting torque of 1.2 kg-cm.
The servo mechanism uses Ultra Detector and FG (frequency generator) servo circuits with accurate rotational speed detection power, and a quartz PLL servo circuit is also introduced to improve the rotational accuracy of the turntable.
The turntable uses a precision dynamically balanced 31.5cm diameter die-cast aluminum turntable. The turntable has a high mass of inertia of 360 kg/cm2 due to the mass being concentrated on the outer circumference, and accuracy is maintained even with transient load fluctuations at high frequencies where the PLL servo is ineffective.
The power supply section is powerful enough to draw a large current of 1000mA and maintain a constant voltage of 24V.
In addition, the power supply section is triple-shielded, and attention is also paid to anti-vibration measures for the transformer to improve the signal-to-noise ratio.
The tone arm is a gimbal support system with a pivot made of polished chrome molybdenum steel, and an S-shaped pipe arm made of a special aluminum alloy with horizontal and vertical initial movement sensitivity of 3 mg or less is used. The head shell is also made of die-cast special aluminum alloy for sufficient strength and light weight.
In addition, a 6mm stroke arm height adjusting mechanism is used to accommodate a variety of cartridges.
The inside force canceller is highly accurate with a roller string counterweight system.
A NEGLEX low-impedance cable with 0.71Ω resistance is used from the cartridge to the pin plug, which is gold-plated to prevent contact failure.
The cabinet is a 64mm-thick solid type with high-density particleboard lamination to suppress internal and external vibrations. The arm stand and arm base are made of 1kg zinc die-cast.
Double damping system is used for the insulator.
The finish is made of Solomon Wall with vertical grain vinyl chloride veneer.
