From a collection in Bologna, is this very interesting18th century double sided master drawing. The drawing is part of a small collection of 14 simular drawings by the same artist, never been presented for sale for about 35 years.
The drawing, executed in pen, ink and gray wash on prepared laid watermarked paper, depicts studies of flowers on both sides.
Authorship : the drawing is from the Italian-Bolognese School.
Period : ca. 1720-1730.
Size : 16,5x20,6cm.
Condition : Fairly good. Some scattered dirt throughout. Some tiny spots. Sides irregular of shape. Top corners : tiny fragments of paper missing. Some defaults in the paper structure. Top side mid and left : two small secured tears. Unframed.
