The Toledo Mud Hens Baseball Club is the Triple-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers. The mascot’s name is Muddy. The Mud Hens first year of baseball dates back to 1896, and many famous individuals have played for Toledo over the years (Jim Thorpe, Casey Stengel, Kirby Puckett, Kirk Gibson).
