Terrific 5x7 inch glossy photo. Known as the oldest steam locomotive in the world, John Bull shown here in 1893. John Bull was a historic steam locomotive originally built in Britain that operated in the United States. Its inaugural run took place on September 15, 1831. In 1981, the Smithsonian Institution successfully operated the locomotive under its own steam, solidifying its status as the oldest operational steam locomotive in existence!
