Christ en bronze, fonte creuse, fin XVIe début XVIIe siècle  ♦  Bronze Christ, hollow cast, late 16th early 17th century

Portant une couronne torsadée, la tête du Christ repose sur le torse vers la droite. Les jambes sont quasiment droites, la jambe droite légèrement fléchie pour permettre la superposition des pieds. Les bras sont presqu'à l'horizontale avec le buste suivant le mouvement de la tête vers la droite. Le perizonium est court avec un rabat noué sur la hanche droite. Si les mains sont percées, c'est une petite pointe fondue dans la masse à l'arrière des pieds qui apparaît comme dispositif d'attache.

Très bon état, un petit manque sur le coté droit du ventre qui pourrait être un défaut de fonte. Patine noire qui semble être de la peinture ou une argenture qui a oxydé.

Wearing a twisted crown, the head is resting to the right over the bust. Legs are almost straight, right leg slightly bent to allow for feet superimposition. Arms are nearly horizontal with the torso following head movement to the right. Perizonium is short with a flap knotted on the right hip. If hands are pierced, it's an integrated little rod on the back of feet that makes an attachment device.

Very good condition, a little lack of matter on the right side of belly that could be a cast flaw. Black patina that seems to be some paint or silvering that has oxidized.
