HTJ-WORKS HIDE&SEEK Dual Overdrive
HIDE&SEEK is a twin-type compact effect pedal that combines two different overdrive pedals into one.
On the left side is the Bright Horse, based on the KLON Centaur, and on the right side is the TSH-10, based on the Japanese TS10.
The two pedals are connected in series, and the switch on the right side of the front panel can be used to switch the front and rear pedals left and right.
Each of the two pedals has a buffer on/off function.
This feature allows the two pedals to have a wide variety of sound variations.
For example, set the Bright Hprse to buffer and use only the TSH10. By simply toggling the front/rear switch, you can choose to place the buffer in front of or behind the TSH10. This has some very surprising effects.
On the left side of the front panel is a switch that toggles the Bright Hose clipping diodes. The top is a germanium and the bottom is a silicon diode.
This effect only appears when GAIN is turned up.
Changing the diode has a slight effect, but provides a finer tonal change. When silicon is selected, the comped feel and tension is suppressed, resulting in a silky touch.
There is a switch on the internal board that switches the TSH-10 between 9V and 18V drive.
Another switch is the Bright Horse buffer tone selection. It switches the pass capacitor to 4.7µ. (The default setting is normal. 4.7µ)
This chic design fits smartly on a variety of pedalboards.
Of course, you can enjoy this pedal by itself.
