It was given to my aunt by her former mother-in-law, who wore it back in the 1940s & 1950s, before being passed down to me. It has been well cared for over the years and is in excellent condition.

This original piece is made with 100% real blonde mink fur on the outside with 2 well-lined front pockets that blend in making them unnoticeable. The dark tan to taupe-colored satin inner liner has a crocheted snap ball front closure and my aunt's mother-in-law's initials ("DDS") embroidered on the right, inside liner (not seen when worn); which was quite customary to have done back then.

Measurements are:

~ 18" shoulder to shoulder

~ back = 17" from neck to hem

~ front = 22" from top of shoulder to bottom hem at longest point

~ arm = 15" from shoulder's edge to hem

The capelet-style design is perfect for formal dinner events, prom, weddings, & other special occasions. It's truly a "must have" for any collector of vintage clothing.
