Mauser heavy Sterling Silver Spouted Top for a Syruper, Claret Jug, or Decanter. THIS IS A PART for any of the above. Most likely use for cut glass, crystal, or any other high quality glass base.

Beaded edges with thumb lift decorated with Mauser's "Lexington" flatware pattern. (This pattern was also produced and sold by Knowles and Mt. Vernon).

Measures 3 1/8" front to back. 2 1/2" top diameter at widest point. 1 1/2" tall (not including thumb lift). Underside trench to be placed over jug -- outside edge 2" inner to inner, inside lip 1 3/8" outer to outer, 9/16" deep. Calculated circumference 6.3".

Was very careful measuring but will still put forth the caveat -- all measurements approximate.

Marked with Mauser Manufacturing trademark, Sterling, 925/1000 Fine and part number 6614. Underside of lid marked with part number 53.

Very Good Plus Estate condition. No dents or structural defects noted. Surface shows normal wear. No repairs or removals. Monogram -- None. (Just gave it a lick and a promise polish. If you can mount this you can certainly do a polish that you see as appropriate)

Weight -- 2.49 troy ounces or 77.49 grams.

Pattern produced circa 1900.

JUST THE FACTS, MA'AM

NOTES

I try hard to have all silver hand polished before shipping. Most will have been polished before the photos were taken. Sometimes I miss. I do not polish any other metals.

All books may have a penciled or erased price on the 1st end page. I do try to so note. But, again, sometimes I miss.

SHIPPING DISCOUNTS

Always happy to combine multiple purchases if physically and safely possible.

SHIPPING --CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES

eBay's shipping and fees policies have required the addition of a Shipping & Handling fee -- minimum $1.00. The S&H fees will include Tracking on all packages, subject to USPS rules.

For all purchases $49.99 and over, all James Avery, and all breakables, the S&H fee will also include eBay Sponsored Insurance fees for the 'Estimated Closing Price'. Current Priority Mail rules give automatic, free insurance for some Priority Mail packages. However, in my 30 plus years of shipping USPS has never paid a claim that I have filed. So, as you might guess, I do not use their insurance.

Because of "Estimated Closing Price" and the all too frequent 'wild hair' that is eBay -- eBay's shipping calculator and the actual shipping and handling costs ofttimes vary. I send out invoices thru the eBay system ASAP (usually within 24 hours) and will correct shipping charges on those invoices. If you wish to avoid a potential slight overcharge, please, wait for my invoice.

I cannot be responsible for uninsured items once they are delivered to the Post Office.

Items will generally ship within one day, but at most, two working days of cleared payment (i.e. a payment received on Thursday may not ship until Monday). I will email if there is some reason for delay.

SHIPPING AND DETAILS -- OVERSEAS

I do not ship anywhere in Africa. Assume that I will not ship to any country in political turmoil. You can see the list in the Shipping Details section.

Buyers outside the USA must have:
» at least 20 feedback ratings with 100% positive for a period that exceeds 3 months.

A minimum $2.00 handling fee is charged on overseas transactions to cover additional paperwork and packaging costs. This fee will be assessed only once in the case of multiple purchases.

Overseas Priority and Express Mail have an inherent insurance based on weight and additional insurance can be purchased. This is also true for the larger Flat Rate boxes.

First Class Mail International and  Priority Mail Small Box Flat Rate do not include insurance and NO additional insurance can be purchased.

Responsibility for an uninsured package will transfer to the buyer at the time I deliver the package to the Post Office.

Customs declarations will be the price you paid.

Items will ship within two working days of cleared payment (i.e. a payment received on Thursday may not ship until Monday).

PAYMENT DETAILS

An eBay system invoice will be sent within 24 hours of the close of sale. Payment is expected within 5 days. Write me if there is a problem.

Cash or business checks are accepted for local pickup items.

Texas residents must present a valid resale number or pay 8.25% sales tax. Again, just drop me an email and I'll adjust the invoice.

RETURNS & GUARANTEES

All items guaranteed to be as represented. However, I am an antique dealer who deals in old, used items. Unless I call it NEW it isn't, and will probably show signs of age or wear. I will describe anything that I consider to be more than normal wear.

Returns must be shipped within 3 days of receipt of authorization with item in original condition. Insurance required if the original package was insured. Tracking required on all returns.

Any refund issued will be for full purchase price only. No shipping charges refunded.

FEEDBACK

I leave feedback after successful completion of the sale. I determine that the sale has been successfully completed when I receive your feedback.

AND FINALLY

Seller reserves the right to cancel sale and relist item if:

1) payment has not been received within 5 days of receipt of invoice, or
2) overseas buyer is from a country on my exclusion list or excluded above.

Thanks for looking and good luck.
