The chess pieces are produced by Anri Toriart in Italy. The company Anri
has been a respectable high-quality producer of wooden products since 1912.
The chess pieces are a cast composite material invented by Anri called “Sculptite".
Unlike plastics, the Sculptite figures are wood based and seldom crack etc..
That's why, you almost never see replacement pieces for
Anri Toriart as you do with the plastic pieces. (ANRI LOWE, which are plastic).
NO CRACKS!
NO SPLINTERS!

These chess pieces will make a fine addition to any collection.
