How to install a hub
If you want to install a sports steering wheel without airbag on your car you need to use the steering wheel hub.
There are no universal hubs, which is why before purchasing one it is necessary to find all the information about the car such as: make, model, year of production and whether it is equipped with an airbag or not.
How to install a hub:
- Make sure the car's wheels are perfectly straight
- If it is equipped with an airbag, remove the spoke cover, paying attention to the central airbag device to find the steering wheel fixing bolt
- Unscrew and remove the original steering wheel from the ribbed steering column by pulling the steering wheel towards you
- Place the new hub on the spline with the TOP writing facing upwards
- Retighten and tighten the bolt with the wrench
- Position the steering wheel, with its horn button holder ring, aligning the holes with the hub and finish installing the new sports steering wheel

Airbag not engaged warning light
If you have replaced your standard steering wheel with a sports steering wheel on a car equipped with an airbag, the airbag warning light on the dashboard may come on.
To eliminate this "error" it is necessary to purchase the Simoni Racing cable code: 1212, through a resistor wired onto the electrical wires of the airbag device which allows the warning light to be turned off.
