【About caring for tenugui】

Tenugui have been made from cotton cloth for 300 years and are cut into lengths. As a result, the weft threads gradually become frayed as you use them. It will become familiar after washing a few times.

  ⚠️Do not forcefully pull on the frayed weft threads. Use scissors to cut off any loose threads.

【Caution for use 】

•Both ends of the hand towel are left uncut, so the threads may come loose.

•Due to the hand-dyeing process, the colours may fade a little.

•Due to the characteristics of the material, it may shrink slightly after washing.

•Please do not wash together with white items.

•Please do not leave the garment wet and layered for long periods of time.

•Do not use chlorine bleach or bleach-containing detergents.

•Do not use a dryer.

~ About washing~

Please wash in plenty of water, e.g. in a washing machine. Dark-coloured items may fade, so please wash separately from other items.

Soaking for a long time, leaving wet or drying with the fabric overlapping may cause colour migration. After washing, please shape the garment and dry it in the shade as soon as possible.

It can be used not only as a towel, but also as a tablecloth, head wrap and in many other ways.
