Ginax Baby # 0 gold overlay 78mm Mini Model FP exc++++ RARE RARE.

In tanti anni di esperienza come con le penne stilografiche, specialmente le cosiddette "Safety dorate" di produzione italiana", penne di media ed anche di altissima qualità, e conoscendo marche e laboratori specializzati nella loro produzione e commercializzazione,  devo purtroppo constatare che non ho mai incontrato una penna "Ginax", come questa che sto per descrivere..... (preciso che anche consultando la straordinaria opera di Letizia Iacopinii, oppure il sito molto ben fatto di FountainPen.it, non ho trovato menzione di penne Ginax...!!!).

La scritta Ginax, invece, si legge benissimo, e la tipologia della penna e la fattura me la collocano comunque nell'area italiana degli anni '30.

Questa rara penna stilografica d'epoca Ginox, di circa 90 anni di età, è un modello di piccolissime dimensioni, interamente rivestita in metallo dorato, il classico "gold overlay" tanto famoso in quegli anni, che era tipico, ovviamente, delle penne di alta gamma.

Esisteva, per esempio, la Montblanc "Baby 0", e la più piccola era alta 81mm: questo modello di Ginax è 3mm più corta della Montblanc "0" piccola, che era chiamata "Baby Montblanc", per cui una penna davvero "mini".

(Della rara Montblanc "Baby 0" ne esistevano due versioni, di diversa lunghezza, la più piccola e rara, esattamente di circa 81mm, chiamata "Short Baby" e quella più lunga di circa 90/95mm, chiamata "Long Baby".)

Questa Baby penna ora in vendita è in condizioni ottime, bella e sana, pur se con qualche minimo segnetto qua e là, ed il rivestimento in oro è ancora integro e bellissimo.

Il decoro della penna è di tipo misto, a piccole onde e spazi lisci, semplicissimo, e si estende dal cappuccio al fusto lungo tutta la superficie, mentre alla sommità del cappuccio c'è un bell'anello decorato a rilievo con motivo floreale, con il top con il classico anellino.

Questa penna è ovviamente senza clip, ed ha anche l'anellino al top, molto elegante, una penna di "micro" dimensioni molto difficile da reperire sul mercato.

E' una "safety pen", con pennino retrattile ed ancora con caricamento a goccia.

Il suo pennino è un Warranted, in oro 14k, e la lunghezza della penna, chiusa e senza l'anello, è di 78mm.

Ribadisco l'originalità della penna e soprattutto che sia in condizioni ottime nonostante l'età.

Questa penna è un oggetto vintage, viene da una bella collezione e non è stata testata per l'uso.

In so many years of experience as with fountain pens, especially the so-called 'golden safety' pens of Italian production, pens of medium and even very high quality, and knowing brands and laboratories specialised in their production and marketing, I must unfortunately note that I have never encountered a 'Ginax' pen, like this one I'm going to describe..... (I must point out that even consulting the extraordinary work of Letizia Iacopinii, or the very well done site of FountainPen.it, I found no mention of Ginax pens...!!!!).

The Ginax inscription, on the other hand, reads very well, and the type of pen and the workmanship place it to me in the Italian area of the 1930s.

This rare vintage Ginox fountain pen, about 90 years old, is a very small model, entirely covered in gold metal, the classic 'gold overlay' so famous in those years, which was typical, of course, of high-end pens.

There was, for example, the Montblanc 'Baby 0', and the smallest was 81mm high: this Ginax model is 3mm shorter than the small Montblanc '0', which was called the 'Baby Montblanc', so a truly 'mini' pen.

(Of the rare Montblanc 'Baby 0' there were two versions, of different lengths, the smaller and rarer one, exactly 81mm, called the 'Short Baby' and the longer one about 90/95mm, called the 'Long Baby').

This Baby pen now for sale is in very good condition, beautiful and well preserved, albeit with a few minor marks here and there, and the gold coating is still intact and beautiful.

The decoration of the pen is of a mixed type, with small waves and smooth spaces, very simple, and extends from the cap to the barrel along the entire surface, while at the top of the cap there is a beautiful ring decorated in relief with a floral motif, with the top having a classic ring.

This pen is obviously clipless, and also has the ring on the top, very elegant, a 'micro' size pen that is very difficult to find on the market.

It is a 'safety pen', with a retractable nib and still with a drop filler.

Its nib is a Warranted, 14k gold, and the length of the pen, closed and without the ring, is 78mm.

I reiterate the originality of the pen and above all that it is in excellent condition despite its age.

This pen is a vintage item, comes from a fine collection and has not been tested for use.
